Announcing The Heritage Workshop for the Spring Semester, 2014

Poet, Professor of English, and Heritage Chair in Writing at George Mason University, Eric Pankey, will lead a semester-long poetry workshop for D.C. Metro area poets.

The workshop is free and open to poets not currently enrolled in an MFA program.

Acceptance to the workshop is competitive. If there are more than 15 qualified applicants, the final class will be selected by lottery. Friends and Alumni of the George Mason MFA Program are encouraged to apply.

For eight years now, Eric Pankey has directed the workshop bringing poets from the MFA creative writing alumni community and the northern VA/Washington DC area community together to discuss original work.

Details:
The Heritage Workshop will meet Monday evenings on the George Mason Fairfax campus in the Spring Semester 2014 from 7:30-10:00pm (February 3-May 6) to discuss participants’ original poetry.

How to Apply:
Please submit five pages of new poetry as an attachment to epankey@gmu.edu. Friends and alumni of George Mason MFA program are encouraged to apply.
Deadline for application is December 20, 2013.
