MFA Alumni Organization
Graduates from the MFA program are automatically enrolled as members of the English Alumni Chapter, which is led by three department alums, one each from bachelor-degree recipients, MA recipients, and MFA’s.
The alumni chapter leadership group plans events throughout the academic year, usually including a major alumni reception during the Fall for the Book Festival as well as separate panel presentations or discussions of particular interest to MFA alums. The leaders also link the chapter to larger events sponsored by the umbrella Mason Alumni Association, including the annual Homecoming events that usually are held around basketball games in February.

In addition, MFA alums are cordially invited to attend any and all program-sponsored events, including the annual “welcome/welcome back” party in late August, as well as all readings and discussions by visiting writers.
