Section Information for Fall 2021
This course surveys several major forms of nonfiction writing, including travel writing, nature writing, memoir, profiles, reportage, commentary, and writing about food, places, and books. Through weekly reading and writing assignments and a final project that develops from one of the weekly writing assignments, you will practice a wide range of nonfiction writing.
The course is a requirement for all MFA students in nonfiction and open to MFA students in fiction and poetry as an elective or to fulfill their out-of-genre requirement. Others may apply to take the course by contacting the instructor.

Enrollment limited to students with a class of Advanced to Candidacy, Graduate, Junior Plus, Non-Degree or Senior Plus.
Enrollment is limited to Graduate, Non-Degree or Undergraduate level students.
Students in a Non-Degree Undergraduate degree may not enroll.
