On the heels of his just-released collection The World Doesn't Require You, MFA alum Rion Amilcar Scott has a story in The New Yorker. "Shape-up at Delilah's" appears in the October 7, 2019 issue of the magazine and is available online as well.
Scott visited Mason in September as the Creative Writing Program's first visiting writer of the season. His new collection has earned stellar reviews, including coverage in both the Washington Post and the New York Times.
Scott is also the author of the short story collection Insurrections, winner of the PEN/Bingham Prize.
