Do you have questions about your career path? Come to the first panel in our new series for English and Creative Writing BA and BFA students, centered on helping you develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed beyond Mason’s walls.

Part One of the series, “What To Do With Your English Degree,” will help you begin to figure out what lines of work you might pursue after graduation, why, and how. Hear from professionals at various stages of their careers, and learn about why they chose their field and how they got to where they are. We’ll discuss what it’s like to work in everything from arts administration to New York media to consulting, as well as topics like unpaid internships, resumé building, and prioritizing your creative life alongside your professional one. Bring your questions—we’ll open up to an audience Q&A after the panel!

Panelists include:

The conversation will be moderated by MFA nonfiction candidate Lena Crown.
