Join us for a poetry reading and discussion of creative translation, namely English-to-English translation, by poet-translator Paul Legault.

This is the first event of Worlds in Words, a 2018/19 series of readings and talks on the subject of translation at Mason.

Paul Legault is the author of five collections of poetry, including The Madeleine Poems (Omnidawn, 2010), The Other Poems (Fence Books, 2011), The Emily Dickinson Reader: an English-to-English Translation of the Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson (McSweeney's, 2012), Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror 2(Fence Books, 2016), and LUNCH POEMS 2 (Spork Press, 2018). Interested in translation as a generative practice for creating original works of writing and art, Legault is the co-founder of the translation press Telephone Books and a poetry editor at Fence. He lives in New York.
