Mason Badra's poetry and creative nonfiction are published in various journals online and in print—and she has been a contributing writer to Ranger Rick: a National Wildlife Federation magazine for children. Lately, her publications focus on highlighting the work of Kurdish female and nonbinary writers and translators. She is currently associate director of women and gender studies at George Mason University.

Taylor is the author of On the Road with Del & Louise: A Novel in Stories, winner of the Agatha Award for Best First Novel. His short fiction, primarily in the mystery genre, has also won three additional Agatha Awards, the Anthony Award, two Macavity Awards, and three consecutive Derringer Awards.
